Ham Radio in Clallam County

Clallam County Amateur Radio Club, Inc.

An ARRL-affiliated club since 1967

ccarc
Canadian Packet Net
Join Peter, VE7PMR, for a weekly Packet Net Wed at 1900 or so on a frequency of 145.690. So far there are 5 Hams from the Juan de Fuca border of the Peninsula who join our Wed. evening Packet session. I'd like to gather more so we can have some additional practice, and do more peer to peer work.
VE Testing
There will be an Amateur Radio Test Session, January 29, 2010 in the training room at Port Angeles Fire Department, at 5th and Laurel in Port Angeles. The Exam will begin at 1900 (7pm). The Test Fee is $15.00. The exam questions are based on the ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League) study guides http://www.arrl.org/catalog/lm/ which contain absolutely everything you need to know to take the FCC license exams. The manuals review with the actual questions that appear on the tests. Those earning an entry level license will be able to communicate with other hams world wide, and to participate in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, an important part of Homeland Security. All levels of Amateur Radio Licenses will be administered. Questions, or to register for the exam session please call Chuck Jones, N7BV, at 452-4672 or Tom Newcomb, KE7XX at 452-8228. Thank you. Chuck
